Shipping a new website to Trailer Bridge

for Trailer Bridge

Getting things where they need to go is a big business, but Trailer Bridge is a company with the know-how, partnerships, and resources to make it all happen. This transportation company has been working for decades on building up a worldwide supply chain network, but what really sets them apart from the rest is their personal touch: clients get a one-stop-shop for all their shipping needs, including everything from domestic transportation to international freight forwarding, tracking, compliance checks, shipping to and from the Caribbean, and special logistics for governments in the United States and Europe.

Website Redesign

Trailer Bridge had a good sense of its brand identity and how it wanted to present itself to the world, but was in need of a website update to push it into a more modern look and feel. We helped add a little more flash and eye-catching animation to their site with a design overhaul, plus reworked the information throughout the site in a way that provided a better user experience and helped with SEO.

Shipping Solutions

We used our information architecture expertise to set up Trailer Bridge with a new, user-friendly and SEO-friendly Shipping Solutions section that provided information on all their services. By re-organizing and expanding their content with quality copy, we helped improve their search rankings and streamline the website experience for their users. With accordion FAQ sections and links to related resources, visitors can get the information they're looking for while CTAs and well-positioned forms ensure they can easily get in touch with Trailer Bridge's team of experts.

A schedule that is smooth sailing for customers and employees

One of Trailer Bridge's priorities for what they wanted on their site was an organized sailing schedule providing monthly southbound and northbound voyages. Their previous sailing schedule display was less streamlined on the front-end and updating it with new info was less streamlined in the backend, so we tackled the task of simplifying and clarifying the important data. Since Umbraco's highly versatile development environment makes all the site's resources easy to update and simple to display exactly as wanted, we were able to provide Trailer Bridge with a much improved sailing schedule display.

Locations

Although Trailer Bridge is headquartered in Jacksonville, its role in international shipping and logistics necessitates offices all over the world. We made sure the site not only shared relevant information for these offices like contact info and services provided, but also utilized geolocation SEO techniques to ensure a connection between the places where these offices are and how search engines understand the content. By helping connect the dots for search engines, we helped Trailer Bridge's search ranking and also made it much easier for site visitors to find what they need.

Blog & Resources

In addition to providing a lot of info on their services and locations of operation, Trailer Bridge also uses their website to make resources available for those in the logistics and shipping business or people who are interested in how it all works. Trade notifications, shipping schedules, news articles, and blog posts — the variety of resources that could be displayed on the Trailer Bridge website was broad, and we designed a unique section to serve as the resources hub for the site.
