On a mission to create places with purpose

for Raydient Places + Properties

Raydient Rural is a subsidiary of Rayonier that focuses on the sale of rural real estate around the southern United States. Considering its parent company, it’s no surprise that Raydient Rural is a real advocate for the benefits of living, working, and relaxing in places a little closer to nature than your average suburb and, in addition to a large property search engine, provides documents and resources on why country living can be great.

The Website

Although it falls under the Rayonier company umbrella, Raydient Rural is a distinct entity and we made sure to keep it that way. When doing a refresh on the Raydient Rural website, we really wanted to provide them with a stylish, modern design that was uniquely theirs but carried the earthy feel one would expect for a company in the rural and country lifestyle sector. For development, we mostly stuck with our tried-and-true favorite CMS, Umbraco, and implemented some Hubspot integration to keep things interesting. Overall, we set out to design and build a website for Raydient Rural that was clean, beautiful, and easy to use.

HubSpot Templates

Although Raydient Rural primarily serves as a way to showcase real estate and connect people with properties throughout the southern United States, it also has a cache of incredibly helpful resources for people living the rural lifestyle. Many of these resources are hosted on the company's HubSpot, which makes it easy to set up gated downloads that can be great for collecting useful marketing information to help visitors get even more information within the scope of country living and homesteading. We helped set up templates for various HubSpot landing pages, including ones for gated materials, new communities, and more. By sticking to Raydient Rural's branding with a few quirks here and there, we made sure these simple landing pages remained visually interesting despite their simplicity.

HubSpot Blog Redesign

Community is a big part of the rural lifestyle, whether it's sharing homesteading and gardening tips or figuring out the best livestock to raise in Georgia and how to plan horse riding trails on your 80 acres. Rethink:Rural, the HubSpot blog associated with Raydient Rural, collects all this community information by utilizing the know-how of experienced rural lifestyle bloggers and writers to share tips and tricks, nostalgic and humorous stories about life in the country, financial information, recipes, and a whole lot more. When redesigning Raydient Rural, we made sure the outdated blog design of the past got a refresh as well, this time sticking more closely to the Raydient style for a clean, modern look and a streamlined user experience.

Raydient.com

This single-page website was built to showcase the elements of Raydient’s planning, development, and marketing business. From designing communities to selling the rural land available on the Raydient Rural website, Raydient takes care of a wide array of real estate development endeavors. The Raydient.com site splits these projects into three sections: Community Development (primarily, the Wildlight community in Florida), Rural Land Sales, and Commercial and Industrial development. It’s a small site with a lot to say, all tied together with Raydient’s future-focused principles and emphasis on constant growth.

Mobile Optimization for a Full Experience

Setting websites up for use on mobile devices is a must these days. For a website like Raydient Rural, it’s even more critical – there’s no telling when or where someone might need to look up a plot of land they’re thinking about buying. It’s just better for everyone that any site that looks good on a desktop computer also looks great and functions well on a phone or tablet, so we set to work making sure that was true for Raydient Rural. With careful consideration of any possible screen size, we kept responsive design in mind and planned Raydient Rural’s site in a way that ensured a great user experience whether that user was browsing at home or on the go.
